Delete your Metaji account
Request deletion without the app
Email [email protected] from the email address you use to sign in to Metaji. Use the subject “Delete my Metaji account” and state that you want your account and its associated data deleted. You do not need to reinstall the app to make this request.
If you no longer have access to that email address, explain this in your request. We will verify ownership before acting. Do not send your password, one-time sign-in code, bank details or identity documents in your initial message.
Delete from the app
In a version with account deletion, open Settings, choose Delete account, review the information, then choose Delete permanently. If that option is missing from your installed version, use the email request above.
Export any records you need to keep first. Deletion is permanent. Signing out or uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account or cloud backups.
What is removed
Account deletion removes your profile and sign-in contacts, revokes your signed-in sessions, and removes current and previous application backups, including backed-up entry photos, from the active service database. It also removes the account’s AI request and response records, verification-code records and associated referral links.
The app stops work for the deleted account and removes its identifiable local books, SMS data, cached media and widget data when deletion is processed. If cleanup is interrupted, the app resumes cleanup when reopened. Other accounts’ data is preserved.
What can remain
We keep a minimal deletion record indefinitely: the account’s internal identifier and deletion timestamp. It enables retries and lets other devices recognise that the account was deleted. It contains no email address, books, photos or conversations.
An offline device cannot be erased remotely immediately. Exports or copies you saved or shared outside Metaji remain under your control. Older cached photos or recordings whose owner cannot be identified safely may remain on a device, to avoid deleting another account’s files. To remove remaining app-local data, you can clear Metaji’s app storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. This affects every Metaji account and any local-only books on that device, so export or back up anything you want to keep first. Contact support if you need help identifying residual data.
Requests already sent to an external provider may finish there, but their results cannot restore the deleted account in our database. Separate provider records, operational security logs and support correspondence are not all erased by the account-deletion action. Their retention depends on service-provider practices, security needs, request handling and applicable obligations. We do not promise instant removal from every provider system.
